Refund policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.


Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.


European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.


Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Return Conditions

Unopened Products

Unopened products in their original packaging are eligible for a full refund to your original payment method.


Opened Products

We understand you may need to try our tallow to see if it works for you. Opened products are eligible for store credit equal to the full purchase price, which you can use toward any future Pure Tallow purchase.


Why store credit for opened items? As a food-grade product, we cannot resell opened tallow for safety and quality reasons. Store credit allows us to offer you flexibility while maintaining our quality standards.


What You Can Choose

When you return a product, you can choose:


Full Refund - Money back to your original payment method (unopened items)

Exchange - Swap for a different product or size

Store Credit - Credit toward your next purchase (opened items)

Return Shipping

We cover all return shipping costs. Simply contact us and we'll arrange for Courier Guy to collect your return at no cost to you.

We arrange collection - We'll schedule Courier Guy to collect at your convenience (free of charge)

Receive your refund/credit - Processed within 3-5 business days of receiving your return

Damaged or Defective Products

If your product arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect:


Contact us within 48 hours of delivery

Send photos of the product and packaging

We'll send a replacement immediately at no cost

You keep or dispose of the damaged product (no need to return it)

Refund Processing Time

Refunds: Processed within 3-5 business days of receiving your return. Depending on your bank, it may take an additional 5-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account.


Store Credit: Issued immediately upon receiving your return. You'll receive a unique code via email to use on your next purchase.


Exchanges: New product ships within 1-2 business days of receiving your return.


Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned:

Products that have been contaminated or improperly stored

Products purchased from unauthorized third-party sellers (not from puretallow.co.za)

Quality Guarantee

Our grass-fed tallow is:

Sourced from South African grass-fed cattle and lamb

Rendered using traditional methods

Free from additives, preservatives, and chemicals

Packaged in food-grade containers


If your tallow doesn't meet these standards, we'll make it right - no questions asked.
